General description:
Twin-screw extruder designed for polymer processing. It features high-shear mixing zones to ensure thorough dispersion of the formulation components. It is connected in zone 8 to a single-screw extruder, which allows for the addition of polymer after the high-shear mixing zones, thereby reducing the load on the machine and minimizing the risk of damage to sensitive components.
Applications:
Production of quantities larger than standard laboratory batches. Used for recycling projects. The single-screw extruder allows elastomers to be added to increase the toughness of the final product.
