| MODEL | AR2000 |
General description:
The AR2000 rheometer is a rotational mechanical analysis instrument used to obtain information on the rheological properties of a solid (thin film) or liquid sample. The AR2000 is equipped with a circular analysis geometry with a diameter of 20 mm. The instrument features a low-inertia torque application system combined with an air bearing, enabling measurements with minimal noise.
Applications:
Rheology can be used to determine various mechanical properties of a material, such as mechanical moduli during a frequency sweep or viscosity as a function of shear rate. Rheology can be used to characterize viscous materials such as polymer melts or highly concentrated solutions. Characterizing the viscoelastic properties of a polymer is very useful for understanding and controlling the processing parameters of a given material.
