| MODEL | 60 |
General description:
The Cary 60 spectrometer is one of the most efficient, reliable, and high-performance instruments in its class. The Cary 60 can acquire an absorption spectrum between 190 and 1100 nm in less than 3 seconds. Thanks to its highly focused beam, the Cary 60 enables reproducible measurements on sample volumes ranging from a few mL to less than a few µL, depending on the selected cuvette.
Applications:
Absorbance and transmittance measurements for the characterization of known or newly synthesized colored compounds; slow or fast kinetic studies (with reaction rates potentially as low as one second, thanks to a data acquisition rate of up to 80 points per second); quality control of raw materials or finished products in various industrial sectors (pigments, agriculture, pharmaceuticals); analysis of nutrients in water and food; analysis of optical components (filters, lenses); quantification of DNA and proteins; dissolution studies in the development of new drugs.
Characteristics :
- Configuration: dual-beam
- Light source: xenon flash lamp (80 Hz)
- Wavelength range: 190 nm to 1100 nm
- Maximum scan speed: 24,000 nm/min
- Spectral bandwidth: 1.5 nm
- Absorbance linearity range: >3.5
- Equipped with an 18-position automatic cuvette changer with temperature control (-10 °C to 100 °C)
- Equipped with a dissolution module (Agilent 708-DS) with automated or manual dosing options and temperature control
