| MODEL | DMA 850 |
General description:
Dynamic mechanical analysis measures the mechanical properties of materials as a function of time, temperature, and frequency. In addition to basic material properties, DMA also quantifies the characteristics of finished parts to highlight the significant impact of processing on end-use performance.
Applications:
Measurement of glass transition temperature and secondary transitions, treatment-induced orientation, cold crystallization, curing optimization, the effects of fillers in composites, etc.
Characteristics :
- Temperature range: -160 °C to 600 °C. Down to -100 °C without liquid nitrogen.
- Frequency range: 0.001 to 200 Hz
- Strain resolution: 0.1 nm
- Maximum ramp rate of 20 °C/min for heating, 10 °C/min for cooling.
- Available grips: Single and double cantilever, three-point bending, film, sandwich shear
- The low-mass, contactless motor provides a continuous force range from 0.1 mN to 18 N, enabling measurement of all types of materials, from the softest to the stiffest
- The frictionless air-bearing design ensures both improved sensitivity and greater force accuracy
- Exclusive optical encoder technology provides 0.1 nm resolution over a continuous 25 mm travel range, offering unmatched versatility
- The new DirectStrain™ feature and automatic measurement range selection allow you to analyze a wide variety of samples in terms of stiffness and frequencies and obtain the best data in a single run, every time
- Special high-stiffness, low-mass fixtures are easy to use and ensure data repeatability
