| MODEL | 5500 |
General description:
The TGA 5500 is an instrument designed to measure mass change (thermogravimetric analysis, TGA) over a temperature range from ambient to 1200 °C. The instrument is based on the classic TGA design using a cradle and a hook. This ensures much more precise mass stabilization before measurements begin, allowing for a clear determination of changes during heating. The instrument supports advanced scanning modes such as high-resolution and temperature-modulated scanning.
Applications:
TGA analysis (mass change as a function of temperature); quantification of the volatile fraction in a sample; thermal stability testing of all types of organic, inorganic, polymeric, and pharmaceutical materials in liquid or solid form; analysis of gas adsorption isotherms on porous materials.
Characteristics :
- Sample mass: Less than 1 mg to 200 mg
- Mass accuracy: 0.01%
- Temperature range: ambient to 1200 °C
- Conventional heating rate: 0.1 °C/min to 500 °C/min
- Ballistic heating rate: 1600 °C/min
- Air cooling in 10 minutes from 1200 °C to 35 °C
- Platinum (110 µL) or alumina (90 µL) sample crucibles
- Atmosphere options: nitrogen, air, carbon dioxide
